Executive Secretary/ Board Member

Genevieve Shirley Lartey is the current Executive Secretary of the Right to Information Commission (RTIC), appointed in  March 2025. She is an accomplished legal practitioner with  over a decade of experience in corporate and commercial law,  financial markets, and regulatory compliance. Shirley holds an  LL.M in Financial Markets Law & Regulation from the  University of Ghana School of Law, a Bachelor of Laws v(LL.B) from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts  in Psychology & Linguistics from the University of Ghana. 

She is a member in good standing with the Ghana Bar  Association and has undertaken extensive professional  training in corporate governance and regulatory compliance. As the Executive Secretary, Ms. Lartey is looking forward to leading the Commission to make  significant progress in enforcing compliance with the Right to Information Act, 2019 (Act 989)  by enhancing public awareness and strengthening institutional partnerships with local and international entities.
