The Executive Secretary of the Right to Information Commission (RTIC), ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฌ๐ช., led a delegation of the Commission to hold bilateral discussions with representatives of the ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ง on opportunities for strategic collaboration between the two institutions. The meeting took place on ๐๐ญ๐ก ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ at the ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐, ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐๐๐๐ซ๐.
The European Union delegation warmly welcomed the Commission and reaffirmed its commitment to continued collaboration. The European Union was represented by Ms. Sylvia Severi, Head of Cooperation; ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ณ๐ก๐จ๐๐๐ซ, Team Leader for Governance and Security; and, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ง-๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ Programmes Manager.

In her remarks, the Executive Secretary, ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฌ๐ช., expressed the Commissionโs appreciation to the European Union for its longstanding partnership and support.
She further outlined key strategic programmes the Commission intends to undertake, including:
โข Operationalization of the Commissionโs Legislative Instrument (LI);
โข Regional Expansion Drive;
โข Compliance Strengthening Exercises;
โข Capacity Building for Marginalized Groups;
โข Youth Awareness Initiatives; and
โข International Learning Partnership Initiatives.

In her remarks, ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ณ๐ก๐จ๐๐๐ซ, EU Team Leader for Governance and Security, proposed collaboration between the ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ซ๐ and the Commission on youth awareness initiatives.
